Communications, travel, creativity, new industries, new people and more than a few adventures along the way. Social Ocean Studio is the result of all of those experiences coming together.

The person behind the studio

I've always loved
telling stories.

To me, communication is one of the most fundamental ways we express ourselves to the world. We use it to explain who we are, share what matters to us, build relationships and make sense of the world around us.

I've always been drawn to that. I love helping people and organizations figure out what makes their story unique and then finding the right way to tell it.

That's what eventually led me to build a career around communications, public relations, marketing, digital strategy, content and creative work. I love that no two projects are exactly alike and that every new client or industry gives me something new to learn.

Social Ocean Studio grew from that curiosity. It's a place where strategy and creativity can work together, where a website, campaign, press release, brand, event or story can all be part of the bigger picture.

Why communications?

Because people
connect with stories.

I've always believed that the best communication feels human. It doesn't just deliver information. It gives people a reason to care, creates connection and makes something memorable.

That is what I look for in my work. Whether I'm developing a brand, writing a press release, building a website, creating a campaign or helping bring an event to life, I want to understand the people on the other side of the message.

The tools and platforms will keep changing. Algorithms will change. Trends will come and go. The need for meaningful communication doesn't.

The road here

It wasn't exactly a straight line.
And that's the point.

Florida roots

Born in Orlando and connected to Florida from the beginning, my story has always had a little bit of sunshine in it. I also spent summers at the Jersey Shore and moved to California in middle school, giving me a pretty broad view of home from an early age.

A world of people

Much of my twenties were spent as a flight attendant. I had the chance to travel to every continent except Antarctica, meet people from all over the world and experience places far outside my own backyard.

Back to communications

I eventually returned to Florida and continued building my education and career in communications, studying at College of Central Florida and the University of Florida and putting those skills to work in the real world.

Beyond the work

Always learning.
Always evolving.

People inspire me. I love learning about new industries, meeting new people, discovering new places and finding the things that make each story different. Outside of work, there's usually another adventure somewhere on the horizon.
